Dr. Bina Thomas Tharakan, an archaeologist and a heritage consultant, was a speaker at TEDx Thiruvananthapuram. She started a voluntary initiative called Heritage Walk Trivandrum which is an effort to familiarize residents of the city with their history and cultural heritage. She feels that Infosys, encourages its people to go beyond what is asked of them, and TED, being a platform that inspires people to talk about such efforts, have come together to form a very credible effort called TEDx Anchor Program.
